Lee Evans, Ed.D., professor of music, graduated from NYC's High School of Music & Art and completed degrees at New York University ( B.A.) and Columbia University (M.A. and Ed.D.) Professionally, he concertized for ten consecutive seasons under the auspices of Columbia Artists Management and has performed on some of the world's most prestigious stages, including the White House. He has been music coordinator/director for Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck, Carol Channing, Cat Stevens, and Emerson, Lake & Palmer. An acclaimed educator, performer, lecturer, composer and arranger, he is the author of over 100  music books in the U.S., 38 in Japan, and 2 in the former Soviet Union, plus numerous articles in music-education magazines. Dr. Evans's musical specialty is jazz education.
