Individual Voice Lessons - BFA Musical Theater

Jill Edwards joined the faculty at Pace University School of Performing Arts in 2015.  A protégé and associate of Joan Lader, Jill employs training methods taught to her by Ms. Lader over the last 34 years and ongoing.  Ms. Edwards maintains a voice studio in New York where she teaches students sent to her by Ms. Lader, musical coaches, conductors, accompanists, casting directors and agents.  Her students are primarily musical theatre-oriented, but include domestic and international recording artists, opera singers and cabaret performers.  Jill has taught private voice at The Hartt School of Music and at Broadway Theatre Project’s summer program in Tampa.  She has conducted master classes and workshops in Europe.  Jill is also an instructor at NYU Tisch, New Studio on Broadway.  As a performer, she starred in over two dozen operas, numerous concerts and cabaret acts in and around NYC.  A thoroughly-trained actress, she studied with Ed Kovens, founding member of the Lee Strasberg Institute.  She is a member of the Actors Studio.  Originally from Columbus Grove, Ohio, she received a B.A. in Music Education from Bowling Green State University.
