Rosalie Joseph

Acting for Film & TV - BFA Musical Theater

Since 2009, Rosalie Joseph has been an independent New York based Casting Director.  In that time she has cast pilots and series for CBS, ABC, FOX, Lifetime and E Networks.  She began her career working as an assistant to feature film Casting Director, Vic Ramos. Following that, she became Director of Casting for CBS Daytime and eventually CBS Primetime.  After 6 years at the network, she opened her own casting office to focus on theatre, film and television and served as the NY Casting Consultant for Columbia Pictures Television. In 1996, she was offered the Vice President of Casting at MTM Studios in Los Angeles and moved cross-country for the position. A short year later however, she moved back to the east coast when ABC offered her the Vice President of Primetime Casting in NY which she held for 14 years until becoming an independent Casting Director once again.  As a network executive, she worked on hundreds of pilots, series and MOW’s


Rosalie was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for her work in “Annie”, the Neil Meron, and Craig Zadan television production directed by Rob Marshall.  From 1996-2005, and again from 2011 to present, Rosalie served on the Board of Directors for the Casting Society of America, a national organization comprised of professional casting directors.
