Talea Collins is the Academic Advisor for the School of Performing Arts. She has been in this role since November 2017. Talea also teaches First-Year Seminar for PPA students. Her previous professional experiences include working as a Psychotherapist in a mental health clinic and at a domestic violence shelter in New York City.
 
Talea earned a B.A. in Psychology in 2012 from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and an M.A. in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness in 2015 from New York University.
 
In her free time, Talea enjoys all aspects of music performance, including singing and playing the guitar, creative writing, and watching college basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
